What is the Le Mans 62 Register?Morgan Motor Company are renowned through the world for building individual hand built cars specified to customers specifications from their works in Malvern, England.
In 2002 the company decided to celebrate the success of a Morgan car winning it's class at the 1962 24 hour Le Mans race by building 40 cars of a limited edition specification based on a +8 variant and 40 cars based on a 4/4 variant. In 2022 they company repeated the exercise by building 62 cars based on their new Plus Four variant with the new CX chassis. The Register follows the location of these cars and communicates amongst their owners. Below are the details of these special cars.. |
What is the 2002 40th Anniversary Morgan 'Le Mans 62' ?
In 2002 the Morgan Motor Company built only 80 limited edition Anniversary models of the classic Morgan Sports Car to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the 1962 Le Mans class win by the Morgan Race Car registered as TOK 258.
Of the 80 cars built, 40 of these were built with a 3900cc V8 engine (+8) and 40 with the 1800 engine (4/4). When Morgan launched the Le Mans '62 all the production of 80 cars were allocated within 72 hours, such was the attraction of this piece of motoring nostalgia. Features of the cars:

What is the 2022 60th Anniversary Morgan 'Le Mans 62' ?
In 2022 the Morgan Motor Company built only 62 limited edition Anniversary models of the classic Morgan Sports Car to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the 1962 Le Mans class win by the Morgan Race Car registered as TOK 258.
The 62 cars were built on the newly launched CX Plus Four Chassis and fitted with a BMW 2.0-litre four-cylinder TwinPower Turbo engine. Features of the cars:
